I'm wanting to upgrade the firmware in my E-1, so I installed Oly Viewer and the old "Studio" (a trial version). I have the PC mode set to "Control." Tried connecting my E-5 and E-510 as well. Software won't connect with those cameras either. What a clumsy and cumbersome way to upgrade firmware! I had the same problem and found this solution online here.
